Staying at Le Fournil brought pleasant surprises. The family room had ample space and modern lighting. The breakfast impressed me with its fresh baked bread and pastries, especially the good homemade options. Redu's charm and the beautiful outdoor terrace added to the experience. Accessing our room required a walk across the plaza, which wasn't enjoyable during rainy weather. The external staircases posed challenges, particularly for elderly guests. The church clock chimed every half hour, potentially disturbing sleep for light sleepers. Despite these minor inconveniences, the overall stay was nice, especially with the luxurious breakfast service.

Le Fournil was an excellent choice for a first night stop when driving further into Europe. The staff were friendly and helpful, dinner was above criticism and the room comfortable. Redu is a pretty village, somewhat off the beaten trackm and twinned with Hay-on-Wye due to the proliferation of bookshops.
A very slight smell of drains in the bathroom.

The hotel is refurbished very recently.

Good evening meals showcasing authentic local cuisine.
Accessing my room was quite distressing as it required crossing the main plaza. The external metal stairway was particularly challenging in wet conditions. I found the bathroom fixtures lacking, with a non-functional flush button and an awkwardly designed washbasin tap that required excessive force.

The location was fabulous and the hotel had been sympathetically renovated to a high standard. Food was also well priced and of a good quality even if the menu range was a little limited.
The only crticism I have about the hotel was the size of the comfortable double bed. We chose a standard room booked in advance - but not charged to my credit card - as there was a €15 discount. I am 1.88mtrs tall and the bed was a small double! Perhaps there is a need to mention on the details this fact and whether the upgraded room had a larger bed.

Chur, the food was awesome and the staff were super friendly! But the bathroom was pretty basic and the shower had a few quirks, eh?

The Standard Double Room was clean and decent, with a cozy ambiance despite the church bells chiming frequently. Breakfast was amazing, featuring a good array of fresh baked goods. The authentic charm of Redu added to the experience, though some may find the bathroom facilities lackluster.

Clean place with friendly staff members and garden views. Variety of options, outstanding food. Well-appointed and well-kept rooms with a private safe, central heating, and a work desk, comfy beds. Stunning and marvellous location in Redu, short walk to main points, a very nice area and a bar/restaurant. Also, in the tourist centre.

Exceptionally comfortable bed in standard room with central heating, a work desk, and multi-channel television. Location close to the other restaurant and a hill. Also, next to the church...
